1. Don't Rinse Your Dishes
If you're someone who likes to rinse dishes off before putting them in the dishwasher, quit it--it's unnecessary. Doing so could save up to 10 gallons of water per every cycle.
2. Put a Full Pitcher of Water in Your Refrigerator
By keeping a full pitcher of water in your fridge, you'll save both time and water when getting a drink. You won't have to wait for cold water to come out and you won't be running a constant stream until it reached the temperature you want. Stock up on pitchers and keep one (or multiple ones) in your refrigerator at all times!
3. Wash Dishes in the Sink
Don't have a dishwasher? We're guessing you wash your dishes under an open tap, then. Remember something: this is a HUGE waste and it can use over 20 gallons at a time. Instead, consider filling your sink up with water and wash your dishes in that. Refill it when the water gets dirty. Doing this could save you 10 gallons per cycle.
