Many people don’t immediately realize they have a clogged drain until it’s too late. A clogged drain will lead to you many problems that will be costly and damaging. It starts out with the inability to use the sink, shower, or toilet and then those issues could turn into a chronic clog that could cause water damage from over-flowing water.
The most common clog removal method is pouring a chemical mixture from your local supermarket down the drain. While this is an effective method, it does have its disadvantages such as high toxicity levels, chemicals degrading your pipes, and the plastic containers may end up in landfills or bodies of water instead of being disposed correctly.
Luckily, with a few household items you can clear that clog while helping the environment and saving your pipes.
Here's what you'll need:
½ cup of Baking soda
1 cup of Vinegar
Pour baking soda down the drain
Pour vinegar down the drain
Wait 10 minutes
Pour hot water down the drain
You may need to repeat the process a second for third time for really stubborn clogs. If you are still experiencing a blockage, contact Clear Drain because they're might be a much bigger problem at hand.
