One of the most important aspects of your home is your main sewer line. Any sort of damage or malfunction associated with it could dramatically alter the way your home functions. The sooner you can diagnose and fix a sewer line problem, the less hassle you'll have to deal with and the lower your cost will be. Not fixing this in time could become a major expenditure for your household.
Here are some of the ways you can tell your sewer line is blocked:
Sinks and Bathtubs Drain Slowly
If you have a sewer line problem, your sinks and bathtubs can drain slowly (or not at all!). This can also affect your washing machined, dishwasher, and toilets. If you hear gurgling sounds when you flush, that's a good indicator that something's not right. One of the main causes of this could be trees near your line that have roots interfering with the line.
You Have to Use a Plunger A LOT
Do you find yourself using a plunger just about everytime you go? This could mean that there is a blockage downstream in your drainage system. This also applies to your sinks--if they're clogging a lot, there's likely some blockage.
